IT Manager Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of management experience in applications and technical services.
- Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations.
- Prioritize and schedule employees for new projects, manage daily operations, and ensure timely support services for LANs and WANs to minimize downtime.
- Install and support PC/LAN/WAN hardware, software, peripherals, and communication links; provide organizational project support and manage department technology projects.
- Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to the system, including instructional manuals, to ensure effective system use and data security.
- Develop annual technology plans, perform research, evaluate and recommend technology, seek funding, and create capital and maintenance budgets for LANs, WANs, and PC systems.
- Administer and maintain all security programs, monitor potential security threats, and advise management accordingly.
- Provide technical support to users, oversee backup and security systems, and ensure effective communication with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to assess computing needs.
- Develop reporting processes to track and monitor performance, prepare and deliver operational or project progress reports, and implement and oversee operational budgets and expenditures.
