We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to take charge of our mechanical operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in subsea engineering and the ability to balance hands-on engineering tasks with leading a small team of mechanical engineers. This critical and high-visibility role will spearhead the development of technologies for the deployment, operation, and retrieval of our modular hydropower systems and related equipment.
Mechanical Engineer Lead – Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range of $150k-$250k DOE

Mechanical Engineer Lead – Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Oceaneering
- Subsea, experience with rivers, oceans, lakes, in an Engineering capacity
- At least 7-10 years professional experience
- At least 2 years of experience leading and managing an engineering team while also making an impact as an independent contributor
- Deep understanding of subsea or offshore environments and the related engineering challenges
- Familiarity with mechanical component and hardware identification and selection
- Understanding of mechanical systems design and integration
- Ability to perform bench and field testing
Mechanical Engineer Lead – Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the mechanical engineering team
- Manage relationships with mechanical vendors
- Lead the development of subsea systems development
- Manage multiple projects and programs concurrently
