TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Bellaire, Michigan, 49615 Pay Information $2,110 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Long Term Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 12 hours (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), 36 hours/week Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; travel experience required License: MI RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: COVID vaccine strongly encouraged (if declining, must wear a mask); must have completed at least one successful travel assignment Job Description: – Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures. – Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations of residents. – Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors, physicians, and families about the conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. – Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess residents’ conditions. – Assign duties and coordinate nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with physicians’ instructions and facility procedures. – Consult with the Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure resident needs are met. – Report all complaints or unusual problems to a supervisor and assist with the completion of facility complaint reports. – Participate in the orientation, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel. – Evaluate nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service. – Assign duties and coordinate nursing services on the resident unit. – Observe nursing care and visit residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment is administered following physicians’ instructions. – Assume responsibility and maintain records for unit narcotics. – Inspect resident rooms and units for cleanliness and comfort. – Document admissions, discharges, transfers, and incident reports per facility policies and procedures. – Participate in the care plan process, complete nursing assessments, and resident care plans accurately and timely for assigned residents. – Complete special projects and audits at the direction of the Supervisor or Director of Nursing. – Maintain all educational requirements for the state to keep the license current. Attend facility in-services and ward conferences as assigned. – Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect; comply with all Residents’ Rights rules; promptly report all resident accidents and injuries to the charge nurse. – Must have regular attendance. – Perform all other duties as assigned. Additional Information: Clinicians may occasionally encounter a canine support visitor in the facility. If you are afraid of dogs, please consider this before applying. Must be willing to work the set schedule created by the facility, and block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time.
