TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 Pay Information $2,380 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatrics Float Pool Profession: RN Medicine Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience in CV Stepdown requested License: Current RN License Certifications: – Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association – PALS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: Pediatric nursing experience, ability to float across multiple pediatric units Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observing their physiological manifestations and intervening when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and during discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Applicants must have knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills are required. Education requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
