TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 Pay Information $2,380 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: – RN License – Basic Life Support Certification – Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments and notes all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients, and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed, initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge. Informs patients and family of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. This role requires floating to all acute care units including the Pediatric Medical Unit, Pediatric Surgical Unit, Pediatric Medical Specialty Unit, and occasionally the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit. Shift includes a requirement for weekend and holiday work. APHON certification is preferred. Experience in a step-down unit is requested. Must possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques is necessary. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Must have some computer skills. Education: An Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
