Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Director of Trust Services for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- Establish client self-sufficiency to ensure smooth transition to appropriate service team for client retention and satisfaction.
- Ensure effective employee recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
- Provide training, education, coaching to improve the performance of team members.
- Identify and create future-ready business processes designed to accomplish business objectives.
- Promote new process innovation in the redesign of business processes and next generation digital tools.
- Identify training needs and maintain to ensure they are current and followed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Administer a comprehensive risk management program as part of the Enterprise Risk
- Management Program’s First Line of Defense (FLOD).
- Resolve, investigate and analyze simple to complex problems.
- Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality both internal and external to the organization.
- Serve as an agent of change to inspire and empower employees to contribute to the process.
- Incorporate quality assurance checks, risk controls, and performance management measures into business processes.
- Compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC-related laws and regulations as it applies within the scope of this position, including but not limited to, prompt completion of required BSA/AML/OFAC training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Advanced business degree or law degree preferred.
- 5 – 7 years management and leadership experience are required.
- 10 years wealth management experience with a focus on account administration and client experience.
- Robust industry knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, asset services, principal and interest accounting, fiduciary tax, and investment processing.
- Conversant in the COSO framework for internal controls.
- Performance of fiduciary risk underwriting practices.
- Prior experience in the development, testing, and management of business continuity plans.
- Knowledge of payments systems. (ACH, Wire, SWIFT)
- Trained in the Entrepreneurial Operating System or equivalent business operating system principles and practices.
- Conversant in lean processing methods, machine learning concepts, and potential applications of artificial intelligence software tools.
- Proficient in Adobe Professional, experience with mail mergers in Word and Adobe preferred.
