Our client is a leader in the machine learning and AI space, who works with longitudinal patient data from historical clinical trials and real world sources to transform clinical trials and speed the development of new medicines. They are seeking an Applied Biostatistician to play a key role in the development of new methods for utilizing these technologies in clinical trial design. They are looking for a strong technical mind who is drawn to unusual things and complex problem solving. This role can come in at varying levels from new graduate to seasoned professional.
In this role you will:
- Characterize and mathematically prove benefits of current methodology
- Extend current methodology to new endpoints and trial designs
- Publish and present new methods at statistical and clinical conferences
- Conduct simulations to check sensitivity of methods to assumptions
- Advise regulatory team
- Stay abreast of latest regulatory guidances related to estimating treatment effects
- Support statistical sections of regulatory submissions
- Collaborate with the Unlearn Data Science team and applied biostatisticians
- Identify the qualities of Digital Twins that are most essential for clinical trial usage
- Assist applied biostatisticians in explaining methods to customers
- Conduct simulations to check sensitivity of methods to assumptions
Requirements:
- PhD in Biostatistics or equivalent experience with an advanced degree in a similar field
- Experience with randomized controlled trial study design
- Ability to develop and publish mathematical proofs
- Ability to run simulation studies in python or R
- Excellent communication skills
