Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex projects focused on enhancing our enterprise application with over 50,000 end users. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a proven track record of working effectively with software developers, systems engineers, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in project management within an enterprise setting and hold a PMP certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end project management for application enhancement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management, product owners, and end users, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Team Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams, including software developers and systems engineers, to plan and execute project tasks. Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between all team members.
- Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to address changes and unforeseen challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the company’s quality standards and requirements. Implement and oversee rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including detailed status reports, progress tracking, and issue resolution. Maintain thorough project documentation.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to minimize project impact.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within an enterprise company, with a focus on software development and system integration projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development life cycles, systems engineering principles, and enterprise application environments.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential project challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving project success.
