Duties:
- The Emergency Vehicle Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on emergency vehicles, including but not limited to ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles
- The technician will work closely with the maintenance department to ensure that all vehicles are kept in excellent condition and are safe to operate in emergency situations
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, on emergency vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on emergency vehicles
- Replace faulty parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes, as needed Inspect emergency vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and are ready for use in emergency situations
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on emergency vehicles
- Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts and tools
- Communicate effectively with other technicians, supervisors, and emergency personnel regarding vehicle issues and repairs
- Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques in emergency vehicle repair and maintenances
