What’s a typical day as a Materials Technician like? Some of the types of responsibilities to expect are:
- Manual packing and unpacking of materials ensuring quality and cleanliness
- Loading, changing, swapping chemical components used in the production of semiconductors
- Receiving, transporting, and maintain inventory of sensitive materials
- General upkeep and preventative maintenance of tools and transportation devices
- Operating in a cleanroom environment wearing PPE at all times
- Data collection, reporting, auditing, and analysis
This might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- The ability to operate a computer for various job assignments with a functional understanding of Microsoft Office Software
- Excellent attendance history with previous employers
- Strong organization skills and an eye for quality and detail
- A technical aptitude and ability to new skills quickly
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handle stress and deliver on daily goals
- Strong communication skills and are adaptable
- Backgrounds in military, administrative, data entry, barista, grocery/retail, hospitality, warehouse, and service industry workers
Basic requirements:
- Must have a HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to work either day or night shift on a compressed schedule (12 – 13 hour shifts; 3 to 4 days per week)
- Must be able to stand for long periods, move significant distances, and carry up to 30lbs frequently
