This is a direct hire Marketing and Sales Support Manager position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Shifts available:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • 20% Travel 80% In office

Annual Salary as a Marketing and Sales Support Manager:

  • $75-$90k

Position Information:
This critical role is responsible for managing the overall marketing and retail sales support functions pertaining to the National Accounts business. In addition, this position manages the planning, development, presentation and execution of marketing and sales support activities that contribute to growing the branded business within its National Accounts

  • Work with the National Account Sales Team to identify the specific needs of each National Account and then develop plans to properly sell, market and train each account as needed.
  • Will lead the efforts in defining the needed National Account marketing support materials and will work with others to develop them and ensure that they are used within the National Account channel.
  • Will work to develop key advertising plans that help drive sales and help achieve greater brand and product awareness within the National Account channel.
  • Develop multiple training materials that can be used at each account and across the channel to help store associates better sell our products.
  • Will work to develop programs and campaigns that can better sell our products during seasonal times of the year
  • Will develop and execute an annual plan that addresses the needs of all of the National Accounts both as a group and as individual accounts. Will also oversee the analysis of all National Account marketing budgeting and spending.
  • Attend and present at all relevant National Accounts with Director of Sales- National Accounts & Private Label.
  • Provide appropriate sales support and training materials to the Retail Sales Specialist Team.
  • Plan and develop sales contests, sales blitzes and support sales meetings.
  • Event & Tradeshow planning and support.

What kind of experience do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Agriculture or Marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in a consumer marketing or consumer sales role
  • Experience working in the agricultural industry – specifically commercial, lifestyle or companion animals
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience working within consumer product companies and/or outside design agencies preferred.
  • Experience in digital, social and email marketing preferred
  • Graphic design experience preferred
  • Strong project management skills and able to use related project management software for project management
  • Mature leadership skills including the ability to lead large cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time
