Our client, a nonprofit affordable housing company, is seeking a temporary Part Time Administrative Assistant to work for 4-5motnhs covering a maternity leave. This role is 20-30 hours per week, including 2-3 days in-person (Tuesday and Thursday and maybe another day for meetings etc). This role is 9 am to 5 pm and can pay $20-22/hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • General management of office, including ordering and stocking supplies for both offices, office equipment maintenance and replacement, office signage updates, and checking on mail & packages;
  • Keep track of administration expenses to ensure compliance with budget limit and identify cost saving measures;
  • General operations and vendor management duties including coordinating and communicating with current vendors and/or new vendors to manage trash services, office maintenance needs (such as electricity, plumbing, and cleaning), internet services, IT services, and copier services;
  • Work closely with our contracted technical support personnel to assure the operation of the computer network and internet;
  • Support with notetaking and technical setup for monthly Board Meetings;
  • Support with internal staff communications and needs;
  • Support with Community Room reservation and application intake and scheduling;
  • Coordination of front desk reception.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and previous successful experience in administration preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Bilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin and/or other Asian languages preferable
