Our client is a private wealth management group present in more than  20 locations throughout Europe, Asia, America and the Middle East, employing approximately 4,000 people.

Their Irish branch provides fund administration services to mainly private equity firms. The team consists of 37 people currently. They are now seeking a highly, motivated AML specialist to join a team responsible for onboarding, monitoring of clients. The successful candidate will be involved in every aspect of the AML review from AML/KYC checks, remediation project, ongoing monitoring etc. The candidate will deal with a diverse client base including institutional clients, pension funds, high net worth individuals and family offices.  Induction training will be provided in addition to both compulsory training (AML/KYC) and optional training. Additional role-specific training will be provided in-house by peers, line manager and senior management

Job Description

  • Managing and performing AML/KYC set ups and reviews
  • Writing client risk assessments, memos and exceptions to make logical and supported recommendations on cases
  • Investigating trigger events
  • Ownership of ongoing monitoring activities e.g. screening, transaction monitoring, periodic review, control of Investor database etc.
  • Work closely with the onboarding team to ensure Clients are on-boarded in an efficient manner whilst meeting our due diligence obligations
  • Relationship management with clients, MLRO, internal and external parties
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed within the team in a timely manner to assist with internal KPIs

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor’s degree required, minimum 2.2 honors degree
  • Minimum of 1 year professional experience in an AML/KYC Role
  • Additional relevant education in the area of AML/Compliance is a benefit e.g. ACOI, ACAMs etc.
  • Working knowledge of Irish & EU AML legislation and understanding of funds industry
  • Exposure to complex Investor structures and institutional clients is a benefit
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
