Bruin are assisting a boutique asset management company in hiring a Head of Responsible Investment. The successful candidate will be joining the Responsible Investment division and will be for responsible for harnessing a firmwide approach to sustainable investment and for successfully executing the strategic Responsible Investment roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop the long term strategic Responsible Investment roadmap
  • Lead, coach and manage small team of ESG Analysts and be responsible for overseeing all activities within the team and fostering a collaborative culture
  • Develop and implement the companies Responsible Investment philosophy and principles working with the investment teams to help deepen opportunities and research in all aspects of Responsible Investment negative screening, ESG integration, active ownership, positive outcomes framework and data management
  • Ensure compliance with all EU and national regulatory reporting and disclosure obligations
  • Communicate internally to all strategic management committees and stakeholders on the companies Responsible Investment actions
  • Provide Thought Leadership on technical aspects of Responsible Investment for both internal and external use
  • Help clients understand the companies approach to Responsible Investment through client meetings and industry conferences
  • Oversee and participate in the specific relationships and affiliations within the industry, fund associations and NGOs


Key Skills:

  • Be passionate about the ability for Responsible Investment to provide the most sustainable long term returns for our clients
  • Possess 10+ years of experience at a senior level with proven track record in a recent leadership role, as well as, proven project management skills
  • Strong track record in ESG research, implementation, technical understanding, regulation, data management and engagement gained as an ESG analysts or Portfolio Manager at an asset manager or owner
  • Previous public speaking and external communication experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster confidence and cohesion
  • Excellent written and spoken English. French an advantage
  • This role is based in London
  • Sustainability focused studies, CFA or MBA qualification a plus
