Bruin are seeking a candidate to join a leading investment management firm based in London who are looking to hire an Investment Reporting Analyst. The successful candidate will work with the senior investment officer and help develop and maintain efficient investment reporting processes within the investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope out investment reporting requirements using existing stakeholder reports to transition to a more automated process using Power BI and an SQL database.
  • Liaise with our technical resources responsible for building the database tables to ensure a correct understanding of investment performance calculation requirements and other reporting metrics.
  • Day to day responsibility for Investment Team reporting including maintenance and development of the database to ensure accurate records of investment dispositions.
  • Ensure daily uploads of all investment team processes are complete and without error.
  • Recommend improvements to operation methods and workflow to ensure an effective and efficient operating environment.  Includes optimising processes for movement of data between systems used by the investment team (Bloomberg, Clearwater, Investment Database, S&P).
  • Management of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data for analysis and reporting.
  • Responsibility for new data management initiatives within the investment team

Required Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in an investment performance or reporting role.
  • Excellent excel computer skills.
  • Proficient in Power BI or similar software.
  • Database experience, preferably SQL.
  • Knowledge of performance and fixed income theory and calculations.  Ability to reconcile and troubleshoot all relevant calculations.  Strong maths and analytical skills.
  • Experience within the investment or insurance industry.
