The IT Manager of Infrastructure maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.
Network Manager Responsibilities
Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software
Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Builds and maintains quality relationships with vendors and leverage relationships to create best outcomes for USX.
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with business departments and IT. Responsible for helping develop project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and tasks assignments. Ensures proper resource scheduling and resource loading along with adhering to a Software Development Lifecycle and a Project Management Methodology.
Network Manager Requirements:
Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology and/or Microsoft certification or similar strong experience of network infrastructure and network hardware.
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, and network hardware server systems including firewall, routers, switches, servers and etc.
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network layout and communication system
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to IT Department initiatives by offering expertise cross-functionally as needed.
Typical workload can be covered in a normal 5-day workweek, but position can require coverage in the evenings/ on weekends during system upgrades and to cover issue resolution.
Experience in ERP Systems a plus
Monday- Friday 8am – 5pm (or as business necessitates)
What we’re looking for
·Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or business administration preferred or related experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the computer science field
Managerial experience required
