Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chronic Dialysis RN/Traveler to join our healthcare team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care for those undergoing chronic dialysis treatments. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering dialysis treatments, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments.

– Administer dialysis treatments in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

– Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, reporting any adverse reactions to the healthcare team.

– Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, treatment plans, and home care.

– Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control standards.

– Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and social workers to develop individualized care plans.

– Manage dialysis equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.

– Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.

– Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions.

Qualifications:

– Valid RN license in the state of Texas.

– Minimum of 2 years of experience in chronic dialysis nursing.

– BLS and ACLS certification required.

– Strong clinical skills in dialysis procedures and patient care.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

– Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare settings.

– Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

– Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.

– Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
