Manager, Financial Reporting
Providing direct support to the Director, Financial Reporting, you will participate in the company’s SEC reporting process including the preparation of the related Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K including XBRL tagging, be responsible for all aspects of accounting for inventory, assist with the Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) compliance program, assist in the research and implementation of new accounting pronouncements and other technical accounting matters, and participate in the analysis and review of contracts for the Company’s Low-Enriched Uranium segment. You will be responsible for supervising up to two staff. You will participate as a member of the internal control committee, which is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and review of internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Participate in the preparation of SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K, specifically the financial statements and footnotes in Reports on Form 10-K/Q, including supporting schedules.
Participate in XBRL tagging of financial statements in SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
Responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Company’s uranium inventory, including the preparation of workpapers and reconciliations.
Assist the Director, Financial Reporting in the Company’s quarterly SOx compliance efforts which include coordination of internal controls testing and documentation reviews.
Participate in the Company’s internal control committee which implements, evaluates and reviews internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
Analyze and document the accounting implications of the Company’s contracts for the Low-Enriched Uranium segment in accordance with the guidance of ASC 606 and other relevant U.S. GAAP sections.
Assist the Director, Financial Reporting in the implementation of new U.S. GAAP accounting pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements, including the preparation of related whitepapers summarizing management’s conclusions.
Supervise 1-2 accounting staff supporting revenue and receivables and financial reporting functions. This includes the review of customer invoices, journal entries and reconciliations.
Support external and internal audit requests and inquiries, as well as respond to requests from the Company’s various business areas.
Responsible for the oversight of the coordination of preparation and review of annual financial statements for the Company’s defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience including large public accounting firm experience serving publicly traded clients
SOx and internal controls experience, including testing, preparation of process documentation and analysis of controls
Advanced ability to research technical issues in accounting literature and regulatory reporting instructions and guidance
Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related SEC financial reporting and disclosure requirements
Experience with supervising staff
Ability to meet closing and reporting deadlines of a publicly traded company
Experience with Workiva software internal control and financial reporting platforms
Experience with XBRL tagging of financial statements
Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud software
Combination of corporate and public accounting experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated analytical skills
Manage multiple priorities/projects effectively
Coordinate with multiple departments and levels of management including offsite locations
Experience creating pivot tables and utilizing VLOOKUP
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience
