We have a contract need (with extension) for a Windows Server Engineer who will participate in the automation of installation, upgrades, and configuration changes for servers in Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 environments both On-Prem and in AWS. Responsibilities: Collaborate with appropriate team members regarding problems with and capabilities of Microsoft systems. Assist with architecture, planning, and deployment of Windows servers using automation tools such as PowerShell and CHEF. Work under minimal supervision on complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Highly-skilled with extensive proficiency. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in an Infrastructure role with a focus on Microsoft Server system administration. Proficiency with Microsoft 2008/2012/2016/2019 Server. MCSA or MCSE certification a plus. Experience with automation utilizing Power Shell or other common scripting language. Experience with monitoring and performance management tools like SolarWinds required. AWS / Cloud experience (IAM, EC2, EBS) a plus. Experience with Terminal Services and Group Policy Creation and Management desirable.
