LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN OMAHA NE IS LOOKING FOR A PLC CONTROLS TECHNICIAN FOR 1ST SHIFT AND 3RD SHIFT.

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE OUT OF A FAST-PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT (FOODS PREFERRED). 

SHIFT: 1ST SHIFT 530AM-330PM OR 3RD SHIFT 10PM-630AM

PAYS: $36-$38 HOURLY

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN GO ONLINE AND TROUBLESHOOT PLCS, HMIS, VFDS, ETC.

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT CAN CHANGE TIMERS. COUNTERS, ETC.
 

Description:

The primary role of the Industrial Controls Technician is to continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, and utilization of plant electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems.  This is accomplished by utilizing electrical and mechanical expertise in the precise design, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of plant systems and equipment followed by concise and accurate documentation of all activities and observations.  The industrial controls technician works closely with all plant personnel to support improved electrical, electronic, and computerized control system reliability as well as efficient and cost-effective use of plant resources. 

Job Duties:

1.   Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to design, install, program, operate, maintain, and repair plant electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems.

2.   Monitor and record system performance, and make adjustments to assure the safe and efficient operation of plant electrical, electronic, and computerized control systems.   

3.   Initiate and perform condition monitoring tasks including preventive and predictive maintenance.

4.   Troubleshoot equipment failures to ascertain possible failure modes and participate with operations, plant engineering, suppliers, and other associates to improve equipment reliability.

5.   Utilize the company’s Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and supports its use as a key management information tool.

6.   Recommend, develop, and implement system modifications to improve equipment operations and provide for attainment of plant and department goals.

7.   Provide direction and training for less skilled maintenance personnel and machine operators.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
  • Must be willing to work holidays if scheduled
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Be able to work in a cold environment (32-45 degrees) for 8-10 hours a day
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics/ Electrical Maintenance
