Maintenance Technicians
$29/hr – $31/hr DOE
Delicious food manufacturer needs 2 Maintenance Technicians; one on 6 am – 6 pm shift and another one on 6 pm – 6 am shift, will be on rotating schedule every 2 weeks, 2 nights on, 2 nights off, work 3 nights, off 2 nights off, off every other weekend off, Sun – Sat weeks, new hires typically start on a Monday, want a balance of mechanical and electrical, PLC troubleshooting, 2 phase motors, when fully staffed there are 7-8 maintenance techs, there are currently 5 now spread amongst the shifts. Would like 3 years in maintenance and manufacturing, there are quarterly bonuses based on performance and attendance. Eligible for benefits in 60 days, paid sick time, 56 hours of sick time per year, 5 vacation days a year, 11 paid holidays a year.

Full Job Description
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
- Provides general and preventative maintenance support to help equipment meet/exceed operating standards in the areas of quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction and productivity as well as minimizing downtime
- In support of production, needs to effectively and efficiently adjust Temperature(s), Belt Speed(s), Air Flow, Coating Viscosity/Flow Rate, Bagger speed and functionality and Conveyors and weigh scales
- Performs preventive maintenance to ensure that machines run at their maximum capacity through cleaning, lubricating, greasing and/or oiling
- Performs facility maintenance including assisting in servicing and replacing minor plumbing fixtures and performing minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician
- Participates on special projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Expected to occasionally make recommendations for continuous improvement (productivity, quality, cost and/or safety).
- Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, on time and in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Work with common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Follow and comprehend verbal and written orders.
- Communicate with employees particularly with regard to proper and safe utilization of equipment
- Able to work alone or as a team member.
- Able to perform Machine Operator tasks.
- Follow all plant safety and GMP rules and regulations.
- Assist where needed/required in all food safety and quality issues or programs.
- Follows all safety and GMP safety rules and procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing/maintenance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- HACCP (Food Safety) and Food Quality
- Experience in operating and maintaining state of the art manufacturing equipment
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
