Our client, a large Manufacturing organization located in Cicero, seeks a temporary-to-hire Packaging Supply Representative. The main function of this role is to source, quote, bid, and place the order for customers and address all customer complaints and inquiries. This position reports to the Distribution Support Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Take customer orders and quote either directly from customers or sales representatives.
- Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies to be used in distribution.
- Handle customer complaints and questions and follow-up with appropriate internal personnel
- Maintain customer and vendor files.
- Process billing; and review daily invoice register.
- Record and distribute customer order changes.
- Send confirmations to customer service.
- Process new items and purchase orders, after performing vendor bid process.
- Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales.
- Track warehouse items to ensure availability and that agreed upon minimum/maximum levels are followed.
- Coordinate accounting credits.
Requirements include:
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment.
- Computer data-entry experience.
- Experience in the Distribution industry.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to problem solve with limited information or standardization.
