As the Back Dock Shipping/Receiving Clerk and Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving department. Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around the shipping and receiving of camera dollies and related equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating a delivery vehicle to transport equipment to various client locations and production sets.

Responsibilities:

  • Shipping and Receiving:

    • Receive incoming shipments of camera dollies and accessories, checking for accuracy and inspecting for any damages.

    • Prepare camera dollies and equipment for outbound shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

    • Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other relevant documentation.

    • Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers.

    • Maintain a well-organized and clean shipping/receiving area.

  • Inventory Management:

    • Update and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory using our inventory management system.

    • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

    • Monitor stock levels and inform the management team when replenishment is needed.

  • Customer Service:

    • Assist customers with pickups and returns, ensuring a positive and professional experience.

    • Address customer inquiries regarding shipping status, tracking information, and product availability.

    • Provide product information and guidance to customers when necessary.

    • Act as an active listener, understanding customer needs and resolving any issues or concerns with empathy.

  • Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:

    • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport camera dollies and equipment to various client locations and production sets.

    • Pick up and deliver Manufacturing parts and supplies

    • Follow all traffic and safety regulations while driving and ensure the proper loading and securing of equipment in the vehicle.

    • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and ensuring cleanliness.

  • General Support:

    • Collaborate with the warehouse team in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

    • Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, and quality checks as needed.

    • Utilize computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, and communication with team members.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy camera equipment.

  • Familiarity with camera dollies and related film equipment is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, showcasing strong interpersonal skills.

  • Computer proficiency for data entry and utilizing inventory management systems.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on business needs.
