Commercial Construction Estimator Qualifications:
- 3-5 years commercial estimating experience required, preferably with a GC or developer
- Analytical and problem-solving mentality
- Self-Motivated team player
- Exceptional planning and prioritizing abilities
- Able to multi-task with meticulous attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
Commercial Construction Estimator Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate detailed cost estimates including quantity take off, line item and sub-contractor summaries.
- Establish scope of work by working with various departments
- Create cost budgets utilizing historical data, unit pricing, sub-contractor/vendor proposals and methods
- Obtain, distribute and manage plans or specs as directed
- Maintain all unit prices and keep current in estimating programs
- Verify existing conditions of vacancies and incorporate found conditions into budget and estimate
