CNC Machinist Responsibilities
- Working from drawings and instructions to create replacement and new steel parts
- Reads and edits CNC programs
- Requires detailed knowledge of metals and measurements used in the machining process
- CNC Machining of complex and high-precision parts
- Sets up and operates manual and CNC lathes, CNC mills, saws, cutting tools, and slotting tools to meet exact tolerances on engineering prints
- Demonstrate a keen sense of continuous improvement to produce things quicker and better quality
CNC Machinist Requirements:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience running 3-axis, 4 or 5-axis milling equipment and or lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work in auto-cad
- Ability to read and edit CNC programs
- Basic maintenance skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
