Well established asset management firm in Midtown Manhattan seeks a Temporary to Permanent Legal & Compliance Coordinator to start right away. The Coordinator will support the Chief Legal Risk Officer and the CFO. This will require 3 days/week in the office (Mon, Tues, Thurs) and 2 days can be remote (Wed and Fri). The hours are 8:30am – 5:30pm with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

Workflow / Process Management 50%

  • Coordinate assignment of department workflow via a newly implemented workflow management system
  • Track deadlines to ensure timely completion of department deliverables
  • Interface across departments to set expectations and enable prioritization of inbound requests
  • Manage department workflow reporting and initiate further development of workflow system
  • Review and process invoices of service providers and reconcile monthly expenditures versus accruals

Administrative Support 30%

  • Support the CLRO&CCO and CLO by maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings
  • Maintain department calendars, including the Compliance Calendar and Attendance Calendar
  • Facilitate distribution of incoming and outgoing department mail and correspondence

Compliance Support 20%

  • Assist with ongoing Compliance matters including ongoing monitoring and testing
  • Work on various ad-hoc projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with workflow systems a plus
  • Be a highly organized self-starter who will take ownership of a system/process
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and thoroughness and ensures quality control of all work product
  • Prioritize and plan work activities proactively and use time efficiently while managing multiple responsibilities and multitasking
  • Work closely within a group as a consistently productive and dependable team member with a positive and collegial attitude
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization in a proactive, professional and polished manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and good judgement
  • Work well under strict deadlines and competing priorities

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Paying between 80K – 90K DOE + Discretionary Bonus + benefits to support employees and their families
